The sole purpose of a PANTHER is to be a Revolutionary In the Black/Afrikan People's liberation struggle and to mobilize the masses towards self-determination.
In order to accomplish this great and divine mission, he/she must be Compelled to be a vanguard example at all times.
Five Duties of a Panther
1. A Black Panther has a duty to be Spiritually, politically, and culturally CONSCIOUS.
2. A Black Panther has a duty to be MILITANT , but is also disciplined, and is to be Respectful and courteous to our people, and to demand respect from all persons.
3. A Panther is duty bound to always ORGANIZE in the war for the minds and hearts of Black People while carrying one's self in an organized and orderly manner.
4. A Panther is duty bound to be HONEST in thought, deeds, and action, disciplined-willing to sacrifice Her/His lower or personal desires for the greater good of this Revolutionary divine mission.
5. A Black Panther Movement leader and member is duty bound to KNOW THE HISTORY of the Black Panther Party, Honorable Huey P. Newton, Honorable Kwame Ture (Stokley); history of the old Panthers and the NBPP; Honorable Dr. Khallid Abdul Muhammad; Honorable Hashim Nzinga and to learn and emulate the best parts of that history in the year in which we now live.
Three Principles of Organizing
1. Teach our People: The Black Power Movement member and collective organizations has the duty to empower the youth and the community. Empowerment through programs, events, ongoing studies, and personal teachings of the Black Power Movement. We must properly teach our people and create new leaders of the community.
2. Defend our People: A Black Panther Movement member practices self-defense to the best of their ability according to the rules and laws of their legal jurisdiction; and the laws of nature and self-preservation. A Panther’s further duty is to organize the Black community for general self-defense. Defending Black people also means defending our people against any attacks from any enemy source (ex abusive police or self-hating Black people). Defending Black People from any type of attack (physical, political, or cultural) means being well-prepared well-educated, and in good physical shape at all times.
3. Organize our People: The Black Panther Movement Member is totally dedicated to organizing our people for complete liberation. In the cities we live in we are duty bound to be the best organizers that can be found. We organize to educate our people; we organize to politically empower our people; we organize Black youth; we organize to defend Black business and eliminate exploitation by the bloodsuckers of the Black Community and we organize our people to build a strong Black Power Movement where we live because Black Nationalism and Black Power practiced on a local, regional, national and international level (Pan- Africanism) is the best and only solution to white oppression and the ills we face.
